The Free Cities Online Summit 2025

In case you missed it, for the first time ever, the Free Cities Foundation is hosting a fully online summit, taking place May 26–30. This five-day event is designed to complement our flagship in-person conference later this year, and will bring the ideas behind Free Cities, self-sovereignty, and governance innovation to a global audience, without the need to travel.

You’ll hear from Patrick Hiebert on building eco-villages for self-sovereign individuals, Patri Friedman with an inside look at startup cities backed by Pronomos Capital, Massimo Mazzone of Ciudad Morazán and Lonis Hamaili of Próspera, two of the leading special zones in Honduras, Mikkel Thorup on strategies for internationalising your life and expat living, Jeff Deist on Trump’s Freedom Cities and U.S. economic trends—and Joe Quirk, exploring the next phase of seasteading innovation.

And that’s just the start—more featured speakers are highlighted in the graphic below and you can find the full list on our summit website.

With nearly 40 sessions covering special zones, seasteading, digital sovereignty, and the future of governance, this is one of the most ambitious lineups we’ve ever hosted.

And best of all? It’s free to participate.
